JSA/MIXdesign+ Architectural League of New York Publish Making Inclusive Museums Now Report

The report compiles the results of the MIXmuseum Study, consisting of five years of research derived from collaborations with our museum partners to understand the inclusive design challenges they face. The report presents these findings alongside documentation of the January symposium, including responses from panelists and workshop attendees, as well as an overview of the participatory design process that guided our approach. Stalled! Featured in Design for All? Diversity as the Norm Exhibition at Museum Für Gestaltung Zürich

JSA/MIXdesign is proud to share its contribution to Design for All? Diversity as the Norm, an exhibition hosted by the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich which presents contemporary approaches to inclusive design and architecture. Our contribution to the exhibition brings the design for a reimagined ground-floor restroom area at the Cooper Hewitt Museum to a new, international audience. In addition, we contributed an essay Design for All: Challenges, Opportunities, and Conflicts Posed by Inclusive Design to the exhibition’s catalog, which addresses the challenges that necessarily result from the inclusive design process we advocate. You can visit the exhibition at Pfingstweidstrasse 96, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland now through October 20th. Click HERE for more details. The exhibition catalog is available for purchase HERE.
